CMI Provides Nearly 30,000 Pounds of Food to Local Families

Making an Impact in Gwinnett County, One Family at a Time
During the first six months of 2026, Covered Ministries Inc. (CMI) donated nearly 30,000 pounds of food to single-parent and low-income households, helping local families put food on the table during times of need.
CMI’s mission is to provide food to single-parent households and mentorship to teens, primarily serving families and young people throughout Gwinnett County. CMI carries out this mission with the support of volunteers, donors, and community partners who share its commitment to strengthening families and investing in the next generation.
The nearly 30,000 pounds of food distributed from January through June 2026 represents more than a number. Each pound represents groceries in a family's kitchen, one less worry for a parent facing financial challenges, and a reminder that their community cares.
CMI supports community partners including the Atlanta Community Food Bank, StreetWise Georgia, Gwinnett County Community Services, Mending the Gap, Fully Furnished Ministries, The Quinn House, and Duluth Middle School.
Help Us Continue the Mission
Covered Ministries is actively accepting donations to help expand its impact. Financial contributions help CMI continue providing food assistance to families and meaningful mentorship opportunities for teens in the community.
Every contribution, large or small, becomes part of a bigger story of neighbors helping neighbors and ensuring families and young people have the support they need.
Give today and help us continue covering our community with food, mentorship, and hope. Donate to Covered Ministries
